Impromtu test session ...... timely phone call deferring meeting just as I spotted the crew at St Mary's .... felt guilty for a nano-second, but having worked couple weekends straight with no time off in between times, a couple of hours 'testing' kit seemed fair to me.

Was a bit torn between trying the U-Surf 84 or the X-Wave 83 .... no such issue with sail choice going for the 5.3m Manic. Opted for the X-Wave and wasn't disappointed.

With the small (std) fin, it performed pretty well, though next outing I'll slide the fin back a touch as it span out on landing a number of times. Probably down to my port tack jumping technique being pretty poor, certainly on todays evidence !!

RichC had a quick spin and was suitably impressed with both the X-Wave & the Manic so we'll start taking bets as to how long before he upgrades.

Sometimes, plans change for the better, and today was one of those lucky ones ... sunshine, wind, waves and a good crowd to sail with .... including Weathercam all the way from Worthing !!

Happy days .....
